she’s maybe a little overwhelmed at the moment. but i feel pretty confident she will learn to love this little singing dog.

Scarlett has not been sleeping well. We went to the dr. It’s just a cold. Here she is at her appointment. Still managing a smile.
well. this little ditty came on pandora when we typed in a very innocent “outkast” yesterday. i guess little scar likes the more hardcore gangsta rap? she better check herself.
banging the table means “more peas please.” i guess.
scarlett says dadada now.

scarlett is so into instagram. it’s kind of weird.

Scarlett went to daycare!
Rufina was sick and luckily I get a month’s worth of backup daycare through my job so Scarlett went to daycare for two days this week.
They post their names on their backs. Kind of hilarious.

half a year!
today is january 25. exactly 6 months ago today we were jumping into all the craziness head first.
at the moment we are learning how to sleep. who knew it was a learned thing?
other “tricks” include:
sitting up. (our nanny has caught scarlett sitting up on her own twice in her crib now. we don’t know how it happens though. baby magic)
waving “bye-bye” when i leave for work in the morning.
constantly saying, “thhhhhhhhh.” perhaps this is the beginning of a complex thought like, “those jeans make you look skinny, mommy,” or “that’s just another reason you are so smart, mommy.” or “this hair bow is a bit excessive.”
